Meanwhile, commotion rocked the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani early Tuesday morning as hundreds of Kenyans attending the inauguration of President-elect William Ruto broke into the stadium.
Minutes past 6AM, police said they were unable to control the crowd, which broke the stadium’s fences and trooped in without being frisked.

Azimio La Umoja coalition party leader Raila Odinga will not attend President-elect William Ruto’s swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday.
In a statement issued on Monday, Odinga acknowledged that Ruto had personally invited him to the inauguration ceremony but said he would not honour the invite since he is out of the country and that he still holds “serious concerns” about the August 9th elections in which Ruto was declared the winner.
